Neighbors are out and about today. Shooting real close. Can hear people talking and whatnot. Maybe push deer my way. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Tony - absolutely perfect shot and incredible blood trail! I don't aim low enough to hit the heart like that shot did. If I hit that low, it was a little lucky.
All set up in Maryland! Crunchy in here so should hear them before I see them, thick cover all around this micro plot
Beautiful day for sure. It may be a bit before I'm back out. No freezer room with equivalent of 3 in house one outside as a "rest deer" cooler. 7 days and It was time to cut. That neck put ( 4 ) 4 1/2 to 5# bags of meat in feezer and bones are in slow cooker for broth. One hind quarter is 18 #'s cleaned off bone and of any fat, ready to bag save 3 steaks for dinner. So much fat and heavy bone . I say that having butchered all our deer for countless years. It may be my last though. It's shown me my rt hand / wrist is far worse off than I wanted to admit. Ah well not unexpected nor warned of.
Bored. Just smashed the horns together. Could be a little colder but the weather just reminds you of a fall rut day. Overcast dreary and misting all day. Come on bucks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Tucked back off winter wheat field. Logging equipment is parked out in the adjacent corn field. I didn’t feel like looking at that all afternoon. Just thankful they aren’t working today. Good luck! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Tough to eat lunch when your hands smell like a gut shot deer. We found him around 11. Story later I need to shower.
