Did another dark to dark today. Very happy tomorrow is a non-hunting Sunday. Twelve hour sits are rough! Anyway, I saw just three deer all day. A 4pt, spike, and a bedded doe. Also, I saw three owls who roosted in a close by tree. Next week should be exciting.

I stand corrected, idk why cause i knew this was blonde and called it red. I killed a gorgeous red before and long story but i had to leave it in the woods. It was one of the most beautiful furs i ever saw. Still sad about it. But this blonde is right up there with it.

I still kick myself today not knowing what I shot years ago. Would have been a great mount, instead I dragged it 25 yds over the creek bank. Had to smell it for two weeks with a SW wind when hunting the stand.

Not making it out tomorrow morning. 4am wake up is too early. Helped a buddy track and drag a big ole nanny doe. Have to cut her up tonight cause he’s leaving for SD tomorrow.

31, frosty, calm and clear. Last NJ sit. Sadly, they are really starting to chase. Be back Friday if I don't get a Buck this AM. Good luck everyone!

No hunting for me today but I was thinking on the drive home last night how my season is going. I've had some pics of some great bucks, although I haven't seen any of them in person. But one bright spot, I figured out that with the exception of one sit I could've had a shot at a lesser buck or some does every time I've been out. Pretty good when you think about bowhunting being such a close range sport. So I am getting close I'm just waiting on the right target.

That's my season this year! Just looking for 100". Doesn't have to be a giant , though that wouldn't bother me. So far I'm the 4pt King.

Congrats to all killers from the last several days. I haven’t been on here much because I bit the bullet and leased a property of about 60 acres. Just finalized everything on Thursday. This is my first lease so a learning curve! Today is my son’s 28 th birthday and here’s to him getting his first bow deer. Good luck all! It is a balmy 58 degrees here in SE Missouri????
