Probably not going to happen for me this year. Maybe my "off year" is meant to be because we've had red flag warnings the past few days and brush fires popping up all over the place. The last place I'd want to be is a mile or two deep in a tinder box/state forest right now, and I'd be stressing about going/not going.
Shot a buck at 8:00ish. Hot looked a little far back but arrow buried to the fletching. He ran about 70 yards and stood there. Then bedded. I watched him stand back up move a few yards and bed down again but can’t see him. Big heavy wide 8 pt. Going to give him a lot of time.

80” 8 came out at 50 right after I sent my ghost town message. Have a good wind but he was still uneasy. Looked more mature than his rack showed. Stood in the sunlight and let me watch him observe for 5 minutes. Definitely not in rut mode though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
