    well, crap.

This is by far my most productive cam in WI. Went from 2 to 1 battery bar in less than a week....and now it looks like I won't be heading up for opening weekend next week to change batteries :violin: . Going to have to dial the active window down from 3p-10a to about 5p-8a and cut the number of active trigger zones.

did get a nice young typical 10pt in daylight yesterday

I'm about 95% sure this is the same deer early this AM...Check out those temps!

good luck all you early season warriors!

you know what, in 30+ years of bowhunting I don't know that anyone ever told me that, and it makes perfect sense! I feel retarded.

We used to do a 6 foot shot at our bow shoots.

I know that with my old Heli-m I had to use the 70 yard pin.

I’m back at the cabin. I only saw the one deer. It’s okay. I didn’t expect to see anything this morning anyway.

The afternoons should be good today, tomorrow and Monday.

I really struggled to keep my eyes open on stand. I went to bed around 9:30 last night and woke up at 12:55. I tried to get back to sleep but I just couldn’t.

Im thinking it’s going to be nap time soon.

given that I shoot 2 dot vertical sliders, I am going to have to tinker with it to figure out the exact hold to take for my set ups, but the concept is good.

First kill of the season, dove opened this morning, head shot from the front window with a pellet rifle.

Headed out in about 30 minutes to go set up one more stand and then hunt the early buck only, archery only hunt for the afternoon.

Well that’s it for me! Had a great sit. I’ll be busy until October so that will be my last sit until 10/5 likely! Good luck out there killers

Im up for the evening. Spotty service. Got a big temp drop the last hour. Possibly storms, like 65 degrees right now. Kimd of a observation sit, but with potential to shoot something. A couple huge bucks are within a couple hundred yards of me in this sea of thicket, just got to find them.

I’m set up for a long afternoon sit. I got a nap and some food and I feel quite a bit better.

I got out early because the moon is overhead from 3:15 to 5:15 and with this weather change I think they’ll be moving.

Checking in. The usually annual show getting this stand in here. White acorns and hickory already falling...

The land next door sold and according to the other neighbor, sounds like they will want to develop it soon...but for now...[IMG]

Just had 2 does come thru. Passed at 30 yards. I did pull back on lead doe, but didn't feel comfortable with shot. Just watch them feed thru. Will get the next one.
