Back in a different stand. Moon calendar says 1245-245 is major movement. And it's the pre rut. Put some Doe in Heat out. Good Bucks on camera here, all night pics, but cameras don't see everything. Rubs and scrapes here, bushes torn up. 75, sunny and strong wind gusts. See what happens. Plan on staying till 3 and then switching back to my #1 stand.

Neighbor sent me this. Buck I had on camera the other night. I think I would shoot even with the broke beam. Tank of a deer.

Just did a 6 hour sit, swing and a miss on a gobbler, again!! Misjudged the yardage, no way to bust out the rangefinder when over 10 birds are watching. Just getting pulled back is a miracle, and I blew it.
Saw probably 40 turkeys, couple button bucks. A big doe ran by me chased by a 6 point, then 2 more doe ran by.
Fun morning though, taking a break and lunch. good luck!

    It's November.
I still suck. Shot right over a 130" 8pt at 0815. Thought he was just under 40 and he was 30.

I have no idea what's wrong with my yardage estimation this season. Used to be one of my best archery skills. That's 3 clean misses due to yardage.

I'll take solace in knowing that @cls74 isn't dead.

The day I killed a doe I heard what I thought was a buck coming right before sundown. I backtracked today and ran into a few scrapes and this good scrape coming out of the peninsula. Guy put a permanent stand and ladder out here. That is new this year. 1000021844.jpg

Trying something, 3 light traveled trails between known buck bedding and most active doe bedding. Bucks might have been skirting my camera. Only about 12 ft high but this is the best tree with best cover

Congrats to those with kills, luck to those hunting.
I just had to clean trails in this weather. Glad I did because I had several butt beating issues under a ton of leaves. The trails were a real mess.
I found a few rubs and a couple of scrapes. I also learned alot about the wind. We're having high winds and I attempted to leaf blow utilizing that. Well let me tell you it does not take much change in landscape to change wind direction big time.

Rain has stopped but it's gusty out of the west - I'm trying out a new spot......Thicket to my right, pines out in front and hardwoods to the left. Good luck all and happy November
