Just got home, had to pull dads stand after my sit, last hunt for me at the permit property, dad will be set up this evening close to where I sat this morning. Had a small doe with a fawn come by. They hung out for 45 minutes within 40 yards, had several chances to kill the doe but I initially thought she was small so I ended up passing. Awesome morning though

Had a bunch of does and fawns in the beans, then a young 8 point showed up and ate for awhile He eventually bumped them off into the pines.
Think im going to make a move. Want to check a spot out for possible evening hunt too. Zero deer spotted from stand so far this AM.
Boy oh Boy....sure good to hear about all of the activity today. I'll be out asap this afternoon. Thankful it's not very windy. We had 3 straight days of high winds. I'll be in a tree I haven't sat in this season - predicted W wind. A nice scrape line on that side of the field. Johnny - always good to see a great shot. Well done. MI - that's a fantastic buck. Looking forward to the story. Talked to a student at lunch today. He's trying to get his dad to let him use the crossbow and hunt this weekend. We watched a couple videos on where to shoot deer with a bow. Fingers crossed he has enough of the other knowledge (he does gun hunt some) to get it done. This is the greatest time of year!!!
