Had one deer blow out on the way in. Probably a Buck, hopefully not a big one. All tied in. Waiting on 0700. NJ always amazes me in the amount of light pollution. Even though it's a new moon, I could see perfectly fine all the way in. In VT I can't walk 10ft on a moonless night without bumping into something or tripping over a log.
11/1 and it’s 65 degrees at first light… warmer than it was for the MD opener on 9/6. Temp drop is coming overnight, I have my daughters 2nd birthday party Saturday so won’t be in a tree for the front but will get out Sunday afternoon in MD, high yesterday was 85, today 78, tomorrow and Sunday it’s 60. Have a good feeling a lot of deer are going to fall this weekend. I’m on my last sit of this permit hunt, have until 9am to get it done, good luck out there guys!!!

10 minutes to legal light… probably going to be a bit longer till I can ethically shoot, light drizzle with cloud cover. Already had a small spike come through at 17 yards, too dark to see it but heard him come through and the cell cam picked him up

Today is my first day of my 45 day deercation(hopefully) - Of course this morning it's raining, 65 degrees and blowing 35 but is supposed to drop to the low 50s by this afternoon......Good luck all
Set up an hr before dark. 40 degrees and Nov 1. I got lucky the leaves were wet and I got in here real quiet. Trash buck. Show yourself mystery man.
At the base of my tree cooling off. Think of a time where you thought it was the loudest you’ve ever been getting to the stand… then multiply that by 10. That was bad. Brought the antlers with me to do some rattling but I’m not sure the deer will hear me with the wind. The trees are groaning. Might move to a lower area around 930. Good luck.
