Also @LittleChief . An idea popped in my head when i was checking out the contest scorecard thread. Could we get a (Live From The Stand Kill Sheet) pinned? It would be neat to see everyones hero shots without sifting through hundreds of pages. Just a thought.

Nothing moving yet. Turkeys, jays, and pheasants have been partying all evening.

It's been nine months since I have had a day off of work. I'm finally free. Temps dropping fast.

Going to hunt my river place tomorrow afternoon with my brother and nephew. I hope I can put them in the right stands to see one of the big ones.

Got to my place with a couple hours of light, hard rain and cold. Stayed inside just watching the woods and prepping. Saw 3 big doe walk right by my ladder stand, several others, unknown, in the distance.
I have 3-4 days to rock and roll.
Really good vibes for tomorrow, just perfect conditions.
    Good luck all,
    Let’s light this place up!!

Fun night. I saw some does. Then i have this doe and fawn work up to my tree. I'mjust waiting for her to offer a good shot opportunity. 1000010905.jpg

All of a sudden CRACK BOOM! 1000010908.jpg

This tree falls down and scare them off! Perfect timing. Saved her life, for NOW.

A little while later a spike comes in. He's looking at something...ends up being a pair of beautiful gray fox. They scare him off. 1000010910.jpg

    Certainly a memorable night.

    Happy Halloween LFTS.:moose:

My appologies for not having time to go through all of todays posts. Congrats to any killas. Just got home after an awesome Halloween hunt. One of my best, and I didn't even take a shot.

Saw three deer at 4:10pm, two doe and the buck I've been waiting to see for 5 weeks now, MY TARGET 8pt!!
Just before dark I heard a grunt, and out walks two more doe with a small buck following them. Then I saw the buck try to mount one of the does!! She didn't seem receptive to his advances. First time I've ever witnessed that in all my years of hunting. Can't believe all this action with 80F temps today.

So nice knowing my target buck is in the immediate area after at least one doe. Tomorrow will be another dark to dark. Can't wait!

2 does came bounding out of the swamp my way. They got to the edge of the thick stuff and one of them jumped out and started running back and forth. Never saw the other one. Might have been getting chased in there.
