    It's going to rain so had to get the roof done on blind. The plot it over looks has deer droppings as well as the turkey feathers.
    Thank God I have a winch!!! I have no issue lifting 50 #feed 60 to 70# bales but no way was that bundle of roofing going up without the winch. Carpenter ants got into it and put 4 small holes in it :rant:. I positioned it to keep them off to the edge before cutting. then got out the silicone and all weather Gorilla tape. Siliconed the small holes let them dry then tape bottom and top and bottom ,siliconed tape edges. Just the back wall (door) needs to installed I'll cut the door to fit tomorrow. I'll be able to use the garden to sneak to this blind.

    Im finally up for the evening. As soon I started to climb, had a deer blowing at me. At least i know there are deer here. Keep you guys updated.

    I made the trip to Arkansas and got my stand on a tree for tomorrow morning. I’ve never hunted this spot before but it looks awesome.

    I'll be semi-live from the elk woods this weekend. Plan to post here and there as I have service.
    Supposed to be in the low 90's during the day, too hot. Thinking about a wallow I found about five years ago, it is probably my best chance of seeing a good bull this early when it's still so hot. Not a bad hike to get to it. Pretty sure I have it marked on OnX, will have to make sure.
    Hunting partner can't go this weekend so hunting solo. Wife is coming up to hold down camp and do a bit of grouse hunting.
    Best of luck to everyone getting out this weekend!

    Nothing new to report. About 3 1/2 hours til dark. Wind just did a big 180 degree switch for the day. Hopefully it gets the deer off there game.
