    I wish every squirrel was a buck making a scrape. Its so dry, can hear them from over 100 yards.

    It always feels like it’s taking me forever to get set up but in reality it isn’t. I couldn’t find a tree I liked on this inside corner. In a nasty tree that has me leaning to my left. They have had tractors in the field all day. Drove the side by side to the edge and pulled my stand.

    Not the best wind but you just never know where they come out down here. Maybe does go into the corn and a buck follows. Found some sweet rubs along the edge and at the bottom of my tree.

    I’ve been up for 1 1/2 hours. 82 degrees and 35 mph gusts. Not very optimistic but it has to happen soon

    Thought it was going to happen. Fawns came back out at 10yds perfect. Mom stayed back still spooked. Keeps looking behind her. Came out 10 minutes ago but the combine was too close.

    Crows and jays are going nuts where she was looking. Who knows.

    wind I can handle, just so it dosnt get so strong that its unsafe .... its the heat that keeps me from going out Tues/Wed ... HOWEVER, Thurs pm should be a good time to start the longer sits for the early weekend .. the rain will have gone thru, and temps should drop .. Sat. AM is it for me until my next 9 day vac. on the 8th .. last Halloween was a wild day for me, hopefully this Halloween is the same buck action wise .. it all depends on the wind ...

    Just effed it up on that doe. 25yds she was just too spooked. Ducked hard down/right and the arrow caught her hide. 0 blood on arrow and couldn't find a drop in the field. Dang man.
