Ok I’m going to illustrate the best I can to show you where he came from today, where I have seen and had him on camera and where the known doe bedding is Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Thanks everyone! Still soaking it in here, what an awesome evening, here’s the link to the kill on YouTube if any of you want to check it out… I am far from a content creator, just like to be able to go back and watch the shot!
This picture I marked red for known doe bedding and green for known buck bedding Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Dark orange is where I was Parked to pull stand and was at the car and he popped out of tree line and slowly trotted off , no blow, no tail up at 25 yards from car. Light orange is direction of his travel to scrape and camera almost every other day at least Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Orange circles are where I have him on cam and direction of travel. Top left circle is when he was in bachelor group up until 10/2 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I’m going to look for a bed in there but I’m thinking he could be spending time in that spot and knows every time I’ve came there to hunt because he’s watching the road coming in. Thoughts? My original guess is he stays in corn field in middle of property but they picked it tonight Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
That's a heck of a shot! Thanks for the blood pics. Great video also. I feel like shooting some more deer this week! I couldn't hunt tonight because I played DONKEY BASKETBALL for a senior class fund raiser. What a great time. I'll be out almost every day tomorrow to Nov 17th!
I envy your 25 degrees. It's 64 here at 0530 going to a high of 80° Good luck! Sent from my SM-N975U1 using Tapatalk
Walked up on my target buck and his doe in the dark. I could see his rack in my headlamp…oof Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I will get back to you on this when inhave time to type out a longer response. The short version is its the rut and i wouldn't focus on his particular bed, just typical travel patterns of deer between known bedding areas. I agree he was probably in the corn, but now will be forced into the strips of woods around. I would look for those pinch point within the strips of woods between bedding. Dont believe he was watching just you, but looking for predators in general and also watching for does moving thru.
I’m up. Warm and very light winds. Not expecting much but you never know. Saw some on the way here so they are out and about. Good luck everyone
