Get in the stand boys 20 mins ago I was driving around the fields and was walking back to car from pulling a set and a huge buck 140”+ 25 yards from other side of my car comes out of tree line and slow trots away

Sounds like you did your best! Did you recount the story here and I missed it?

Well I got down about 11. I had taken an extra stand and sticks with me this morning because I wanted to set up in what is the core area of the big buck I'm getting pics of. There is doe bedding very close by so it makes me think that's why he's visiting there so frequently. I got the stand set and plotted a different way in and out that I don't think will disturb him. Now I just have to wait for a good wind. It's gonna take a N or NW wind to be able to hunt there and that's not due until Friday. We'll see what happens.

All set up and ready to kill, weird SE wind so I’m set up across the trail from where I had hunted the 2 mornings I was in here, been consistent movement on the camera in the evening coming out of this thick holly brush onto and oak and pine flat, lots of sign in here as well. Bumped one small doe that ran past my camera on the way in. Have a good feeling about tonight good luck everyone

My grandkids always want those when they come for a visit. Sometimes we'll give those to them for breakfast........instead of ice cream! Their mom, our daughter, just loves us for that!

Just told the GF to order me some of those for my upcoming all day sits… she told me no and to make my own haha.

Really need some protein options since I am out of venison. Jerky is too dang expensive these days.

Had 4 bucks come by me this morning. Passed on the biggest one that did come through. I know there are bigger in there so I had to restrain myself in hopes of tagging a good one this year. 20241028_105716.jpeg

If that includes hunting with you for those monsters, you’ve got, count me in!
