I'm up in here this morning. I can't see yet but I can hear things walking around in the dark Sent from my SM-N975U1 using Tapatalk
Good luck all you Bambi killers. Take your time, be safe, remember to breath, draw quietly, line your housing in the peep, keep your bubble level, remember to breath again, squeeze the release, watch your fletchings disappear in the sea of brown fur. Right behind the shoulder. Hear the pop of that diaphragm deflating. Dont take your eyes off him if you can help it, hes not going far though. Crash…… hes done. Clean ethical kill. See your lighted nock sticking up from the dirt behind where you just shot. Soak it in….. Make it happen brothers and sisters. This is what we live for.
Good luck out there this morning everyone, I have a work meeting at 8:15 so no hunting for me this morning, hoping to sneak out after work for a short sit
I once got into a stand super early trying to beat this buck back to his bed. It was so dark. Overcast, no moon. I sat there with an hour and a half till shooting light. I started to doze off and in the same big oak the stand was in came the most demonic screaming and growling ive ever heard in my life. I froze in fear and finally turned my headlamp on to see 2 bull coons in a fight to the death. They fell from the tree and you could see fur flying. Those things sounded like tazmanian devils i swear. I dont think anything has ever scared me as bad as that in the woods. If a grown man ever felt like a sissy it was then
Thats a fine buck and GREAT MEMORIES made Congrats to him and to you for guiding him into the next phase of great hunts
Set up on the down wind edge of bedding area. Had to set up the saddle since I don’t have a set back here for this wind. Very thick. If it happens it will happen fast and up close. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
