Got down shortly after 10. Just 2 little bucks for me. On the bright side, these youngs bucks I've seen are responding to calls and they are scent checking my scrape and the wicks I have out. It's just a matter of time before the bigger boys are coming around doing the same thing. Next time out for me will be Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning.

Morning hunt recap. Had a deer start blowing at me mid climb at 615 this morning. Then had a big bodied deer come from downwind to 20 yards and start blowing at me. Had a bobcat walk by pretty close then as I was climbing down had a spike walk right to me. Eventful morning.

I feel like many of us are experiencing the eye of the storm ( calm and nothing going on). We had a good first cold snap now just waiting on the back portion of the storm to unleash its fury!
    Killlll!!!!!

This happened to me once years ago… squirrel all morning on dry, crunchy leaves and I hear what I thought was another squirrel and finally look to my left and it was a monster of a buck walking right to my tree… walked under me and directly away… his back was as wide as a cow… no shot opportunity :bash:

Light breeze is just starting to kick up a head of the front and appears it will hold out of the NE until sundown. Forecast calls for some light rain tonight and a high of 59 tomorrow.

So I'll be heading out in about an hr til dark.

Hope to get out tomorrow afternoon also.

Nothing for me this morning, got down and did some scouting, kicked up a total of 6 different deer, one small buck. Found a doe bedding area, hung a cam on the trail on the outskirts of it, marked a tree and we’ll see what happens!!

First sit here will be Monday if the wind doesn’t switch up. Feels like everything is getting ready to get interesting.

In for the pm. Humidity has crept up. A balmy 83 with a light breeze.

On stand hopefully no interruptions this time. N wind is awesome and bumped a single deer out of this bedding thicket hanging the set yesterday. Cleaned up some branches and hung a camera here too. Near a scrape line on field edge and 5 trails converge on this spot. There a few rubs in here.
Good luck to everyone else out

Back out on a stand I haven’t hunted since last year’s buck. Hopefully something shows up this evening.

Ok guys, I know there are those who will disagree but the corn picker just started up in the field next to the woods where I am. I'm thinking of just calling it for the evening because it's my experience here that when they start picking I don't see anything
