Ten and a half hours at my blind. Had a small spike 15 feet from me this morning, and at 6:00pm I had a cow rack buck, just main beams with a point coming off one of them. We'll see what tomorrow brings.

Alright im at the truck. I feel like i have a dead deer. I just cant find him. Called the state and they gave me the go ahead to track tonight. Got ahold of 3 guys, they are on the way now. With 4 of us grid search, we should find this deer.

Had a doe and two yearlings come in right at last light. Swing and a miss. Clean arrow, no blood on ground. Headed home.

sat from 1:30 till dark.. seen zero, scrapes have been hit (prolly at night) (new location, should be good as the rut progresses, but northerlies only here) ... going back to same spot for AM then moving 2 miles to another location for the PM sit ... nothing but squirrels, chipmunks and various birds including a male Pileated .. I'll gladly take a 1.5+ yr old doe if I can ...

Had a relaxing sit. Wasnt anticipating much with this heat. Figured they would move right at dark and they did. Had a huge doe with triplets come in. Gave her the pass. Waited her out to get down. I like that spot so didnt want to muck it up too bad. She was already on edge catching whiffs of me but she never blew. Crops were being cut everywhere around me so im sure alot will be changing. Should get better. I think i need to get in about 75 yds closer to the bedding area i was near. Torn between going deer hunting in am or hunting our duck opener. Ill decide at the sound of the alarm clock. Almost forgot had this one daylight today at some other public i hunt. Didnt see this until i was half way to this other spot haha.

Shocker that buck looks like he is trotting. Gets your blood pumping I bet. Time to get vocal? Maybe.
