Not hunting today with the NNE @20mph winds. Worst direction for my blind location. So, I checked cams and one of my target bucks came through in the dark this morning. He was in the area for a few hours, because I got three different videos from two cams. I'm going to start morning hunts!

Headed out in a bit trying coop blind again. Tomorrow I'll hit old reliable if nothing happens tonight.
I went out this late morning and opened windows, refreshened the dominant buck and doe inheat scent pads that are hanging over mock scrapes.
    Good luck all

On stand went scouting and hung a set then tore it down because almost 0 shot opp it was so thick. Decided on another prehung. It’s so weird almost 4 days I haven’t hunted and coming in here it’s like all sign of life has evaporated. Oh yeah and the corn is still on

Just set up for a ground hunt, about 150 yards from my house. Last night before dark my lab chased a couple of does from my drive way

Well I cleaned my .22 with new bore snake. Did a bit of veggies and here I sit. Colder than expected the breeze is brisk but my milkweed says good for coop. neighbors giant ash fell but hung up on a tree infront of coop. It will be just 15 yrds when it finally lands. May have hit if angle was different 24 in diameter. Dang quiet out here for as dry as it is. Man just scanned his woodlot. At least 8 monster ash have recently dropped completely or hung up on other trees.. Glad to have maple and beech around the coop.
