I hate cell cameras sometimes. Cams have been pretty dead the last few days and then this guy decides to daylight this morning. Good luck Monday AM hunters! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I was thinking about this. Using a climber takes very little work. I’d only be lifting about 8 or 9 pounds with my feet. I think my plan to use sticks and a lock on could be in jeopardy. Having to put all my weight on that foot climbing up is going to be a problem.
Just had a small buck chasing a group of 3 or 4 does. He stopped at the edge of a food plot which is about 70yds from me and worked a scrape. He then came in behind me at about 100yds. I grunted at him but I don't think he even heard it. He moved off to parts unknown and I don't know where the does went. Oh well, at least I saw something Sent from my SM-N975U1 using Tapatalk
you can do it ... back in the day, I broke my left ankle and messed up my back, still went out to a stand with a crutch, walking boot cast all wrapped up and a body brace, killed a 165lb 9 pt and dragged/carted him out alone (gun season).... my doc would have crapped if he had known ... so yea, you can do it ....
Seen a couple roadkill bucks on Hwy8 Wisconsin side this morning. One was nice size. It's time to put in some hours. I think the next 2 weeks will be golden.
So in my area, we have a cold front coming in on Thursday, which happens to be one of the best days of the rut to hunt by the experts. I happen to be off that day… Go figure. And I’m off Friday and Sunday and Monday then I work for three days then off for 11 Definitely daytime pics showing up so it should be a good stretch coming up! Good luck to everybody that’s out and stay safe! Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I had the same thought. It's the weight bearing part that will suck. I'm sure you'll figure out a way to keep hunting.
When I fell 25 feet from my stand 10 years ago, I broke my sacrum in half, tore my right shoulder in 3 places and my whole right side basically from my neck to my ankle was nearly black the bruising was so bad. A week later my smart brain decided it was time to get back in the stand. Killed 2 deer that morning then I tried dragging them. Pain came back to my body 10 fold, worse mistake I ever made.
That's why you should of only shot one, lol. Can't even imagine trying to drag a deer after all that.
Just left the hospital. There are no fractures. Just severe bruising and hyper-extension of the first metatarsal joints. That means I’m good to go as long as I can stand the pain.
Well I'm down and out. Nothing seen 'cept the ones I posted about earlier. Not even a squirrel or chippy this morning Sent from my SM-N975U1 using Tapatalk
I've got work keeping me out of the woods til Thursday evening/Friday morning. It's also timed perfectly with the next cold front that's coming our way. Also they are finally cutting the corn down, so my little treed in paradise in the corn field should turn into a hot zone especially with pre-rut and rut just around the corner!
Proof that our phones are constantly spying on us, I have never once searched or queried anything about black buzzards on my phone, I don't even usually use my phone to go through LFTS, unless it's during the workday. Well, I did yesterday, then this ad pops up today on X: Keep in mind I'm about 4 hours away from missouri, and this phone has never even been to Missouri
