Didnt sit tonight… hot and wind wasn’t right for the beans. Looks like a decent one just after legal just now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
It’s actually a fantastic way to get around. Quiet and stealthy. It just doesn’t work well on washed out rocky hill roads with gulleys in the rocky Ozarks, but I’m dumb enough to do it anyway.
I glassed alfalfa and it blew up tonight. Many doe and fawn . A couple of new buck a young high racked 4-6 and one I named Highlander because thats the rack he's sporting and is a 2yr old easily. Cant hunt day break due to car, hubby was too tired to go down tonight. He spent the weekend fixing Gator and the tractor. Which required new parts and some painting. So cut corn has kicked in the movement.
I’ll be going to the hospital tomorrow to get my right foot x-rayed. I told my team that I really just want to know how hard not to push it. If it’s broken they’ll want me to wear a boot and that simply isn’t going to happen during hunting season.
Running a climber setup like you do could be painful. Hopefully it's just a strain and not a break. Ground hunting is always an option though. Hard to keep a good man down!
Congrats on the find, not so much on the carcass, or what's left of it. That's more than coyotes doing that damage isn't it?
Black vulture's are nasty critters. I've seen them attack new born calves. Their numbers have exploded around my area.
Ok boys, I'm in the stand for a morning hunt. Supposed to be 80° here today. I know I'll be crying about the cold later but come on fall, you're not doing your job! Good luck to everyone who is out this AM Sent from my SM-N975U1 using Tapatalk
Thanks. I’m pretty mad at myself for a real brain fart I had though. I did tag the buck and I used one of my Archery Any Deer tags. It wasn’t until much later after everything was done that I remembered I could have called and gotten an antler recovery tag.
Got up early and shot in low light before work. You know it's getting serious. Ha Good luck to everyone.
