Good luck out there this morning! Waiting on daylight and hear footsteps already. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
One of them had horns but I couldn’t make it out. Needed 5 more minutes to have enough daylight. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Super calm here, I thought my entrance was decent until I sat down for 5 minutes I can hear leaves falling 20yds away I must have sounded like train coming in here. Almost shooting light.
Was at the farm yesterday evening just to check out and see what it is looking like. Massive construction going on at the farm with the new barn being put up and lots of excavating going on. Pretty darn easy with all the dirt work to see where the deer are not walking. It actually makes it easier the deer cross from woods to woods there is a pond in front of me with a depression that the deer are going to take every time. Just a matter of the weather cooling down.
Just settled in for the first bow hunt for me this year. Was originally going to use climber in different location but decided to come to my ladder stand. 20 mins until shooting light. Very calm and quiet out here. Good luck to those that are out
I’m finally set up. What an adventure. The rocky hill finally hit the best of me this morning and I slumped my bike. I got to my tree with all of my gear already in it. I climbed up, took the bow off the hook and put the quiver back on the hook. Reached into my pack for my balaclava and heard something hit the ground. I looked and it was my release again. Forget it. I strapped on my back-up release. My pack slid down this skinny pine tree a bit so I slid it back up and knocked my quiver off and it fell. So back down I went to collect my fallen gear. I’m all set now and I’m trying to cool down.
Forget the good lucks. We've all put in the time, scouting, scrolling pictures from cams, walked, climbed, shot a million arrows, planted food plots.... It is time to kill!
Wow, you were right about Murphy’s law. Something tells me you’re going to be rewarded for all that aggravation. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Climbing the tree kinda stucked this morning...ribs hurt pretty good now.... But hey, be careful. None of this one or two deer a day...it's time.
I am up and hopeful. My son is about 200 yards across a picked bean field. Hope 1 of us gets a shot on something. He has never shot a deer with his bow. A few misses, but no hits! Here’s to 1 today! Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Hey to you all that hunt ag country are the crops out in your area? Weather has been perfect for harvest. I really need to have more corn taken out around me to get consistent movement.
200 yd paddle. 50 yd walk. Hoping the pressure pushes them to me on the back end of this field/thick stuff I don't expect anyone to be closer than 1/2 mile to me.
Someone just fired off a rifle on the property next to my bout jumped out of this stand probably on less deer to hunt Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I’ve been in for 45 minutes, just breaking daylight now. Good luck AM shift, we have to get to work with Bret’s 5 deer prediction for today! LC here’s a great big good luck to you
Frosty this morning, but I'm sitting by the woodstove. Super late night soccer game. Double overtime win for my boys. . Didn't have it in me to get up at 430. Be out this afternoon with my wife, still trying to get her first deer. Knock some down this morning!
Corn is still up at the lease. I’m guessing it will be for a week or two at least. Good luck out there everyone. I’ll be riding the bench until the 28th. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Good luck guys. I’ve got to run in to town this morning and the drive 3 hrs north of my house for my nieces wedding. I’ll be out Sunday afternoon.
