That must have been very frustrating, getting picked off like that! Because, I know you're careful about the details. Interesting, about the likelyhood of UV glow being the cause.

Long walk in and a interesting one. Almost shot a big doe. Spotted 2 does feeding in a field. Said why not try a stalk. Well after some time i had made my way up 30 yards of them. One bedded down, other still feeding. The big one final look my way and saw something that didnt look right. Now i should have draw. She walked up to me to 20 yards. Absolutely nothing between us. And just head bobbed for 5 minutes. Finally she turned broadside, so i pulled my bow back and she caught me. Ran off 5o yards and stopped to just figure out what she saw. If i pulled back when she was at 30, would have had a dead deer.

Im up in a tree in general area i wanted. A little buck sign, but the problem is the creek is dried up. Wanted to walk the creek. So might have screwed myself. But im all the way out here, so may as well hunt it to see if anything is home. Couple good deer trails along creek. Im back off it 40 yards. On a intersecting transition lines between little green briar thickets and big pine forest.

As I was walking out I walked up to a guy sitting on a bucket. I got to 25 yards directly behind him and he didn't see nor hear me. Wide open. I circled back around so as to not disrupt his hunt, yet he never turned and never saw me. lol. Dude was drinking from a cup and eating. ha

Up and settled. First time in a tree stand this year. Sitting in my favorite river stand. Lots of deer have died around it over the years. Good luck to all that's out this evening.

He bought the Magellan brand from Academy. We talked on the phone shortly after he posted about it.

Just had 7 does and a small 8 run in on me and and I could not get a shot at any of the good size does. I was surrounded and could not move. But boy was it fun!

None of them spooked. Just turned and went back into the thicket they came out of.

You have no idea how frustrating it was.

I’d like to see them do the same thing this afternoon and tomorrow morning.

I’m set up for the afternoon. I moved 25 yards into the woods. The only tree big enough to climb was a pine.

Wearing my ASAT 3D suit this afternoon but I don’t have high hopes. I didn’t see a deer yesterday afternoon. The evening movement times are after dark now.

Still, anything is possible. I just know my gear will be in the tree in a good spot in the morning.

The wind shifted. Was ESE now it's ENE. That put this sit in jeopardy. Not likely to see anymore. I'm here with 2 more hours to go. Hope it switch's back!

I've been dealing with that same situation in the funnel/bowl I'm hunting. Thankfully, most of the wind shifts have been in somewhat favorable directions. I have experienced numerous shifts in just a matter of minutes. It's frustrating after a while!
