Moved stand to a different tree...I've always wanted to hunt out of this tree but I've never brought enough straps! This sucker is HUGE! 1000005136.jpg

No kidding! It took 3 ratchet straps connected together to secure the bottom section of my climbing sticks.

I'm gonna go with 12 straps! No wonder my local hobo freight was out of them! I hope you have good luck from that setup.

Holy Sh!tt !!!! This is a first. Ive had an exciting walk in . Im just now getting settled in my tree. Stop to just relax and cool down for a second. I still have my back pack on my back. I thought a branch fell on me. When i turned around a huge hawk flew off. It landed on my backpack!!

I also shot a coyote on the way in. Snuck through creek and saw him around this bend getting a drink. Ranged him 29 yds and let one go. That thing sure was screamin. Ran onto neighbors property and died. IMG_8645.jpeg IMG_8646.jpeg IMG_8647.jpeg IMG_8648.jpeg

I could repeat last 2 posts but whats the point. I left phone home charging but went out across road. Half way down drive skies opened up. Not for long but enough to soak me. F it! continued on, get across the road and bam! The winds start blasting me in the face. Another F bomb and I have a mission in mind.
Head out to where I found the small rub and checked that area. More rain but in a pocket from winds. Slow walk, bow in hand, scouting for trails ,droppings and rubs. Hit a trifecta and the rubs were " cluster " rubs of all sizes and hieghts.
Found a well worn trail blocked by limbs...cut ones. Well seeing those were placed over my barbed wire along property line, I did some cleaning. Checked signs and...Oh gee, just shocked to find signs missing, not!
I left area early having been soaked a couple of times. I had to finish final garden pick before tonights freeze.
Tomorrow morning winds will be great for area I missed doe. Hoping for a second chance.
As for the area I cleared trail. Tomorrow I will head out there with my older steel climber. No rains due for a few days after today and I have zero fear of that stand getting stolen. It's been in storage for years..

    That’s insane!

Might be a dumb question but what’s your method of getting them around the tree? I’ve never tried and have always wondered.
