Group of does came in, drew two different times and got pegged both times. They finally blew and took off. This stand looked good early fall but now the leaves are off, I'm in the wide open with no backdrop
Had a buck hanging around eating acorn for 15 minutes. Changed my mind 4-5 times. I decided to draw when he was at 10 yards and my nock came off the arrow and my arrow fell all the way down. He didn’t run. I re-settled and got a shot as he was walking away at 25 yards. I usually black out on the shot. He ran out of site. I got down, found the arrow and some blood. Went back to the house to give some time. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Man i feel like a pansy. I woke up at alarm 2:30 am but i couldn't fall asleep until midnight. My back/neck/shoulder are on FIRE. Did just have a messed up arm and had a surgery so havent been too active since june. Might be being hard on myself but its not like me to sleep in when i planned to hunt. Ive got good activity on my cams all night. Hopefully with this bright moon they may be active mid day. Ill be out there in couple hrs.
Hunting a 150acre piece of public in central WI. My family has a small cabin on 10 acres that connect to the public so we just have to walk out the back door Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Anyone else black out during the shot on an animal? I remember seeing the lighted nock flying, I heard the impact but couldn’t tell you where the hit was. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
24* here, didn't get anything for snack sticks last night. The semi is loaded this morning and I gotta work. Maybe tonight I'll continue my quest for food. Good luck tracking @kennyg
What a perfect morning. 25 degrees and 0 wind. As I type this from my work computer. Small bucks have been sparring on camera at nights a few times this week. The larger bucks I have running around are hitting scrapes an hour or so before shooting light. Not much at all for daytime activity yet. Warm and windy the next few days. Going to take advantage of that and do some light scouting, freshen scrapes, and move a stand to the back corner of the corn field as I suspect it will be getting cut soon. Find the does, find the bucks. Need to figure out an access to my rut stand. No idea how the drainage ditch hasn’t dried up but there is a lot of water in it. Need to beat down a path through the canary grass with a pallet or something to allow me to cross. Lot to do. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
