Man, I just realized today that I need to start killing some stuff. Haven't been in a stand yet, trying to get a few days this weekend. I hate the full moon, but I got a turkey tag too and I'd be happy to bag a bird. Lots of em, as well as a couple shooter bucks around. Hey, maybe this "supermoon" will cause some mayhem?? :eek2:
    Good luck lady and gents!

we are getting hit with heavy 'lake effect' rain right now, add in a 42 degree temp. and it feels like crap out there ... same for tomorrow, with some hail/lightening tossed in ... looks like I'll finally get out this Friday and maybe Sat. Am .. forecast is 35 deg's overnight Thur. into Fri. Am, so should be a cool sit, then I'll sit out Fri. PM ... work beckons by 3 on Sat, going back into the 70's, have to be back at the truck by 10/10:30 Sat Am to drive back and get into work Sat (sucks of course) ... Vac. # 1 starts the 25th for 9 days .... vac#2 starts Nov. 8th for 9 days ... .....

Since he hasn’t figured out LFTS yet, @Jezzy670 was hunting the same WMA as me about 600 yards away from where I went with my son. He killed a doe tonight. My son and I helped him find it. 6 yards quartering towards with a high entrance and the exit was plugged by guts, no blood trail at all.

Fortunately, the shot pretty much cut the liver in half and she bled out internally about 70 yards away. This is the second time that I have taken my youngest out and then @Jezzy670 kills a doe and makes me help him get it out of the woods.

Just pulled into the permit property, first one here, dad’s about 10 minutes out, 38 degrees and fairly calm winds. This is gonna be an awesome (short) morning hunt. Feels like opening day, I guess it technically is my opening day in PA this year

I’m up and getting caffeinated. I’ll be heading out in about a half hour.

Good luck to everyone who is getting after them this morning.

All set up and ready to kill, ran into about 6 deer on the way in only about 100 yards from where I’m set up, they bounded off but didn’t seem too spooked, a couple hung around while I walked off the trail into the woods. Got about 45 minutes until legal light! Good luck out there guys!!!

Driving to the farm. It’s mid 40s with a high of mid 50s. I don’t like that it’s going to be low teens wind all day but you work with what you got. Good luck everyone!!

I had this guy on two different cams yesterday. Morning and evening. Hopefully he comes by again. I'm not 100yds from both cameras where he was. I hadn't noticed before but it looks like he's making a scrape in the second pic. Screenshot_20241015-071429.jpg Screenshot_20241015-071533.jpg
