That’s what I ended up doing.

The sun has gone behind some branches now so it’s bearable.

It’s still 66 degrees here but I dressed for the 50’s I’ll see the last hour.

It’s supposed to be 35 in the morning. That’s going to feel incredible.

Man, buddy... you have more willpower than I do. But granted, the biggest deer I've ever shot was 113 inches. And my hunting spots aren't guaranteed year to year.

    No regerts!

Just had a raccoon come in to 15. Nolan couldn't see it well enough to shoot. It stayed behind bushes and then ran when it saw us.

Nice momma doe with older fawn just passed at 40yds. It sure is nice having so many fawns this year but I really want to take out a doe without fawns lol...especially hard to take out the ones with twin buck fawns

Ok so the update is with the new broad heads out the pack I’m shooting 6” groups. I had 1 arrow with a broad head and 2 with field tips switching between different arrows and not seeing any noticeable difference between them. While I agree there is more things I could have tried I feel that since no matter which arrow had the broad head (switching between the board heads as well) I was getting 6” groups so I feel confident in saying that it was the old broad heads. While I did shoot the old broad heads when I got them several years ago and they were shooting straight I always shot field tips after that. My best guess is over time I may have gently bent a blade or something to cause them to be flying off. I’ll be back out for the next 2 days!!

Car is all packed and ready for the morning, I start my permit only hunt here in PA at a local park that is pretty loaded with deer, I have from 10/15-11/1 to get it done. The property is a big hiker and education center so I am only allowed to hunt on weekdays until 9am and after 3pm. Got out and did some scouting the past two weeks and think I have an awesome set up for the morning, found it on Friday and there was fresh feeding sign with acorns dropping, a heavy trail going into some thick Holly brush and some rubs and scrapes. Dad also drew the permit so he will be out as well!! Going to be a cool 38 in the morning!!

    Rattled/grunted in an 8 point. Around 100”.

    That was awesome!

Great sit had a small 8 point come from where I thought a buck was bedding. He walked out of timber to edge up field and destroyed a tree for 10 mins then popped back in timber and came to 10 yards from me.
