Good luck all! First good cold front for many. It hits here today and tomorrow is the big temp drop. Looking forward to hunting tomorrow.

    Stay safe Bill!

I see your not getting our rain ,congrats. We are now 46 hours of rain. Misting and foggy right now. Going out tonight if they hold true and rain stops at 2p.m.. temps are not getting out of low 40's today and low 30's tonight.
They should pile out of the 4 pine woods we have around here to dry off.

Have to go deal with a corporate higher up today for the last time until after the New Year. Been a long year and can't wait to take off the chains and really go after a good buck or two.

Good luck fellas! Morning feels great.

I’ve been set up since an hour before daylight. Haven’t seen anything yet.

The zipper on my Scentlok jacket jammed almost all the way up and I can’t get it unstuck no matter what I try.

I hate to do it but I may end up having to rip it apart.

Unbelievable. I was fighting with the zipper and got picked off by a doe.

10 minutes later more does came in dead behind me and busted me when I looked around.

Things just aren’t going my way this morning.

Every tree on this ridge has some lean, presumably from wind. I ran my 4 lw sticks up the spine and hung the stand on belly leaning toward the ground a few degrees. I went to pull up my gear and the rope slipped off...had to drop back down to retie. Mind toy, I'm 1.5 miles deep in the woods.

To get past my stand, I detached my lineman belt. The plash was to reattach just below the stand. Step onto stick 3, and it totally falls off the tree. I start falling, but my harness mid strap and vest (under the harness hooked on the last rung of the 4th stick.

I grasped the tree, got the linemens belt attached and pulled myself up of the rung, then lowered to the second stick...and climbed down. Retied the bag, gave the stick a good look over, best I can tell the loop wasn't all the way over the button and slipped off.

Took a good scrape on the rung, maybe 4-5 ribs long...no open wound, but bazinga its tender.

Oh BTW, have seen squirrels, a red fox and 2 deer so far. Small game hunters are out stirring the woods today. I know one took a shot a couple hundred yards from me...I think he spooked the fox...
