I almost shot a doe tonight until I saw she was a he. Spike. Was at full draw 25yds All I saw. Fun hunt
I have 3 lone wolf sticks you can have LC I have 11 and only use 8. I’ll make sure tomorrow. You’ll be laughing all the way to the taxidermist LC lol
Just freaked squirrels and chippies. Oh and 1 raccoon. my cam was going off at the othe stand I almost went to. Had 7/8 does go by the cam which is 5 yards away
Nothing for me. Calling for 30-40mph winds tomorrow we will see if I get out or not. Felt great to get in a tree. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
We had a fawn go by a 20yds with nothing in toe. With about 20min of shooting time left I spotted a deer in the tree line 35yds directly in front of us. All I saw was the throat patch. Then I picked up on the white around the deers nose and then around the eyes. I couldn't see the body. Eventually it lowered its head and I saw antlers, probably 6-8, bit very hard to tell. TheBuck stayed in the tree line till shooting time ended and never came out. Sara saw several deer and had 3 fawns in front of her broad side during the trip. She stuck to her guns and wants a mature deer. Back to VT we go tomorrow. Be back out with her Saturday afternoon in VT.
Just got a mule deer tag for muzzleloader transferred to me here in New Mexico. I don’t have one so I will use my bow. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Lone Wolf Alpha II and 4 skeletor sticks ... this is all that is needed beside a linemans belt/harness and your gear
Haven’t see her in close to 2 weeks… shows up 15yds from where I set up my stand today 2hrs after I left. I thought bears were deterred by human scent? Season closes tomorrow so I likely wont get a shot at her. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
That comes with four two step sticks. How high could someone get with those without using aiders? Not very high I’m thinking.
In rereading your original post, I missed the part about the pine trees. In that case I would not recommend the Panther platform. If you're going to be climbing alot of pines, how low are the limbs? Would they be low enough and strong enough for you to use them as a ladder? In that case you might be able to get by with just a single climbing stick. Just a thought Sent from my SM-N975U1 using Tapatalk
I’m actually trying to avoid using pine trees. Just the climber teeth make pine sap weep to the surface and it gets on my gear. I definitely wouldn’t want to screw anything into one of them. From what I understand, “one sticking” requires flexibility and pretty good physical conditioning. I’m probably going to end up getting a lock on and some sticks. I may even get the inexpensive solid ladder stick. It’s not like I have to hike in with it. I could just slap a 20’ stick together, strap it to the tree and be done. I did find one hybrid saddle that intrigues me. It’s the JX3 hybrid. It actually looks comfortable, but it’s expensive.
