I agree! Not only ugly, they are not practical and too expensive. Sent from my SM-N975U1 using Tapatalk
I have to say this community is awesome. Within 20 minutes of posting my bow fall this morning, I had texts from @Ridgerunner3, @LittleChief, and @Jezzy670 all offering to lend me their back up bows. Currently at the local Hoyt dealer, waiting to see it. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Congrats to all the killers. Say a big congrats to your grandson Tony. I thought about going out this morning but decided to sleep in. Supposed to rain and storm around 6 pm so figured I’d hang out with the family and start hunting next weekend. Shot my bow this afternoon. Ready to get out in the woods.
My morning in summary... I had to pass the ridge spot to get to the hollow, upon approaching the ridge parking, nobody there, but I see a new road bed and gate. So I pushed to the hollow. This is really just a different parking /entrance to the same gameland (wma or what ever you call them locally). Thick fog, 1 truck in the lot. I loaded up my pack and hiked the mile, noticing the same new cobble road bed..and the smell of pine hanging in the foggy air. I couldn't see the extent of the cuts as, literally i couldn't see 20yds in the fog. The hollow was still there, found a good tree, tied the backpack and bow to the rope and start setting sticks up the tree with the stand on my back. Around the third stick, one of the backpacking straps gives way on the stand and three rodeo ensues. Eventualy get the fourth stick and stand set. Really happy with the back cover, hot to sunrise. The fog condensing and falling from the trees. Pretty sure I heard 3 com through in the dark, but not 100% as the fog/rain was so loud falling on the dry leaves. Fog eventually lifts and I can see, 100yds from the edge of the hollow the land was clear cut all the way back to my vehicle. 0 deer. But every squirrel that used to live in the pines now apparently lives in the hollow. Must've been at least 15 different squirrels with 100yds of me.
I did… been praying for y’all in the Carolinas, Florida, and Tennessee for weeks now bro… so many have … we will keep them going as well Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Well, i got lucky. Cable jumped off the cam and that was all, timing was still good. I shot two bullseyes at 20 yards on the range. Cost me $10. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
