My wife wants me to kill. It’s our source of red meat and the sooner I kill the sooner I can use my vacation to take her somewhere. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Circled back around and just as I feared, two different deer were bedded and saw me walking in. Walked back to my kayak and moved. 4 hrs of set up time bc of that dog and 2 miles of walking before I moved. Ha. I probably won't see crap now.
I’m up in yet another location. Guess I’ll just bounce around and see what happens. Posting pics so you folks know what this place looks like.
Ha! I didn’t even notice the trail coming straight to my tree until I was taking the pics. I seem to have a knack for setting up right on a trail without realizing it. Kinda sucks actually.
The way this place looks, you don’t need your National Forest camp this year. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums

I agree, but I kind of have to go since my brother will be there. Besides, there is just something about hunting the big forest. Tuis place looks and is very “deery”, but from an aesthetic perspective it’s butt-ugly.
Just took out a big doe, gutted her, checked her in, now I'm back on stand waiting on that big buck, lol. Maybe I'll triple today. Never done that before!
Sara had a 50lb fawn in front of her and chose not to shoot. The bigger Doe stayed out at about 30yds behind brush. She ha fun and practiced aiming at the fawn. Se ya all tomorrow in the AM. Good luck to you Midwest hunters. Congrats on Doe #2 Shawn.
Well, that was unproductive… on to the morrow Congratulations again, Shawn! Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
So while I sat seeing nothing but 1 squirrel , grunting and rattling, hubby was watching a big and smaller buck with a bunch of doe 150 yrds up from the coop blind.... As Tony says on to the morning
