I've had several young bucks sparring and working scrapes the last two days. I haven't seen any bigguns though Sent from my SM-N975U1 using Tapatalk
here he was making a scrape day before yesterday...while I was on my laptop at home: got a whole series of these over 3-4 minutes... sigh
That's awesome. I hope you get him soon. No deer for me tonight. I did watch the Tigers win. Up 2-1 in the series!
I forgot they were on early. Been dealing with work crap and distracting myself with the occasional forum post
@LittleChief needs to buy that property if it ever comes up for sale. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Yup! And then he can invite everyone from BH.COM to help him hunt it Sent from my SM-N975U1 using Tapatalk
Yes, I’m really liking this new place. It’s early October and some of the crappiest days to hunt but I’ve sat 5 times and only had one sit where I didn’t see anything. I really think it’s just a matter of time before I kill a buck. I’ve seen three, one of which was a shooter for me and it’s not even mid-October. I’ve decided I won’t shoot a doe anywhere over there in the evenings. The last thing I want to do is stomp around shining lights and making noise tracking at night when everything is moving.
Oh yeah, I forgot. Today I met the guy who bought the 225 acres west of me. I have permission to hunt his place now. Well, not the whole place but a good chunk of it west of my property. Funny thing is, his ex-wife bought the 14 acres to the north of my property on the other side of the road. It has two ponds on it and I’ve always wished I could hunt it. Well, now I can. Instead of 6 acres to hunt across the road I now have 20 acres acres over there. I must be living right or something because everything is falling right into my lap lately.
Actually, since there is no marketable timber on the place it would be more like $1,400,000. Yeah. We could do that.
