My Dad got malaria in Vietnam. It was a running joke in our house every time he got real sick. He would say it was probably malaria reactivation...then he would start in on us about jungle rot. LOL

Finally saw my first doe of the season. She died. I under dressed a bit. I was chilly before but now that the adrenaline has worn off I’m shaking hard.
Finally had a "new" buck show up last night at our place. I was beginning to wonder if there were any deer around our place.
100 pages to catch up on...wow. congrats to the killers! With a new work schedule, my afternoon hunts are gone and getting into the tree in the mornings can be tough. Ive been out a handful of times and was surrounded by does one evening but too dark to shoot. Ive got my rutcation at the end of the month and goes into early November. Good luck everyone! yup, was planning on finally making it out this fri or sat. taking a day off from all these shifts ...... not going to happen, going to the 80's again .. I'll work and enjoy the OT .... cool down next week with a good chance of the first frost, 32 over night Monday and Tues ... Vac # 1 starts the 25th whether I have a new guy hired in or not .... 42 right now, wish I was in a tree damn it .... good luck to all out now and this PM .......
