Boy do I love some LFTS, just got home from Jobs. Checked in on y’all, get em!!! Good luck on recovery @vermontwhitetail ! Keep grinding @virginiashadow!
Just had a doe walk up behind me to about 15 yards. To thick to shoot. She winded me and is now just sitting back there blowing a hundred time! Yeah fun! Sent from my SM-S901U using Tapatalk
Staying in the tree till dark. No need to stop hunting. It's too nice this evening. Go look with the flashlight after dark.
Well that's not good. Arrow blades are not damaged. Arrow was thrown just 20yds from where I last saw the Doe. No guts or gut smell on the arrow. Blood is dark
There is only 2" of heavy dark blood past the broadhead and the broad head looks like it never opened until it was ejected I'm thinking I put the tip of the NAP Killzone directly into the bone of the shoulder blade. There is no blood at all after I located the arrow. Two different trails from where i retrieved it. Plenty of green stuff to leave blood droplets on and no blood at all.
2" of heavy blood. If you look at ths rest of the arrow the blood is smeared on there, not soaking the arrow. Impact looked great as it ran by me at 30, but alot of arrow was sticking out. The deer was quartering towards, but took a step to it's right with the outside leg and then looked over its shoulder to the right. So its head was wrapped around and its rib cage was exposed almost broadside. I really thing I shoulder blade shot it. I've liver shot other deer and I always find blood. Deep dark blood, large drops of it. Anyway I've backed out. Its gonna be 48 tonight. Gonna hunt the morning and then go grid search in daylight.
Good luck Vermont in the am. @Holt she needs to die for all the snorting she did to you. Kill Kill Kill
Got out early this morning...very unnerving walk to stand, lots of movement around me but no deer snorts. I lost my phone in house and refused being late looking for it. It was on mute. Lots of squirrel and let's just say a deer I wouldn't pass. One shot heard so a neighbor got a doe. They must have left corn up hill from me and hit mouth of their gully. this is a all weapon season. Came home around 10a.m. and it was nonstop till now. It was a great hunt seeing that deer. Makes Oct 1 that much farther away..
