Happy 4th fellas. Any of you have any experience with this sight? 2 pin fixed with a 3rd pin slider? I hate a busy sight pic and I'd really just like a 2 pin sight, but this caught my eye. I could practice out to long distance to hone some skill, while not cluttering my sight picture too bad when I drop the 3rd pin down. I've currently been using a single pin sight set at 20 yds for the past 6 years or so. Not bad of a price at about $110.
Just blew my yearly wad on fireworks. Edited to add:, actually sound GREAT this eve. WAY MORE gunfire then Chinese crap.
I don’t have experience. I would highly recommend the HHA RYZ tho two pin slider, with my setup I’m at 20yds top pin and 35yds bottom and both will slide with dial to desired distance.
I have a similar Trophy Ridge tooless sight. I use mine at 20, 30,40 but you could definitely space them to 20,40,60. I love my 3 pin sight.
Checked cameras yesterday, can’t wait to see him when he is done growing. Here are a few pics. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I was looking at some bowhunting gear at work yesterday and realized that it's just a little over 2 months until season. Mind blown.
Good hunting buddy uses and loves this sight. No personal experience. I'm shooting a 3 Pin mover BG ascent. Does everything I need it to do.
Just secured permission to hunt another family tract that joins mine. 10 acres total over there and one more cousin to go for another 40. Hoping to have the whole mountain soon! Lol.
I’m working on a 7acre spot now just waiting to hear back. A nice bench behind a guy I work with parents house. Previous guy that used to hunt it passed away. None of the family that owns the property hunts all they asked for was some meat. I love that trade off.
Flew back into Cape yesterday after being down in FL for a week. Came in from the southeast with the window shade open. Saw what looked to be the ideal oxbow on my side of the Mississippi. Looked to be maybe 800-1000 yards in width with a heavy timber congestion that relays into some overgrown WRP back into hardwoods as you go away from the river. Long story short- I'm researching the latest plat to go knock on whosever door that belongs to. Wish me luck fellas.
Having a rough time getting motivated to hunt this year. Probably because I'm going through an adjustment phase now that school is over. It has me in a bit of a rut. I haven't been able to start my walking yet due to having a minor procedure done in May, but I'm just about ready to get my big butt moving. Not sure if I'll be able to get in shape enough to hit the deep spots this year though. Well, If I wait to go deep till end of October, I should have enough time. Who knows! Nothing changing in my setup, still a SaDdLe BoI 4-lYfE, and still will be using the Bear Cruzer.
After work I hit the woods for a scout. Mission was to set a cam for the "Hitchhiker Buck" in case he made it through last season. I've never seen a pic of him. Just tracks and large rubs. Complete redneck all around afternoon scout. Found a good bed or two today. Trail from bed to the slough. Found another large bur oak. Found enough stuff to test the wind all year. And the grandaddy of my day was finding a tire. Carried it a few hundred yards. Haha...I needed it for my daughters workouts. Oh yeah I forgot, the mosquitoes killed me....and set a cam!
Just got done giving 40_50 pumpkin plants each a gallon. The ones that seemed a bit behind. Overall, after 15+years of planting 5hem for foodplots, I can't remember ever having them going this good/this time of year. Nothing exciting on game cams. Lots of bucks but non old so far as I can tell. My small piece of Heaven is a summer doe hangout. The older buck make an appearance once in awhile during summer.. I put zero stock in summertime pics. Got the luxury of being able to hand water my pumpkin plots. Time/effort will pay off come October.
How often you giving them each 1 gal per week? We've always done turnips and it's worked pretty well but this has me real interested in our plots on the property line. A bit late for this year maybe but you've got my attention on this.
Andrew, I give each seed about 1/2 gallon when I put them in and maybe another when they emerge. Once they get going, and with good rains, they do real well. I space them about 6' apart. They need room. Fairly easy too plant/grow and deer HAMMER them late season.
