That’s it for me. Great to be in the woods again, but zero fresh sign where I was. Zero acorns on the ground. Winds are picking up, supposed to have gusts to 45 tomorrow. Good luck killers!

I wouldn’t be doing this if it weren’t so comfortable out here today.

Edited to add that the mid-day moon overhead period during a new moon always deserves a sit if the temperatures are bearable.

Besides, I’m retired and don’t have anything else to do right now.

Had a fun morning, but missed a slam Dunk twenty yards shot on a doe. Turned out to be a high muscle shot. Headed home to lick my wounds and get ready for the afternoon. Just put forty to fifty shots back through my bow.

I got down at 9:45, went home, got a light lunch and tried to take a quick nap but between the dogs barking and my wife banging around because she decided to clean the walls it was hopeless.

I’m back on my stand and I’ll try to sit until 2:30 or 3;00. If I can keep my eyes open, that is.

currently 73 degrees in Northwest Missouri and I just got into a stand. Last couple days we've had a buck here on camera at 1pm so lets see what we see!
I can hear acrons dropping every couple minutes, thats a good sign

I was out at 10. Been running around doing stuff. Gonna shoot some arrows. Shower and head out for 3 to sit the rest of the the day.

Tomorrow I'm doing what LC did today. I'll only sit till 0830-0900, then 11-1400, then 1600 till end of day, something like that. We are just off a new moon which I find has more mid day movement. I love crescent hunting.

I can hear my 5 year old 400 yards away picking apples, he's having a good ole time

Our money finally being put to good use! Minnesota loses roughly 80,000 total deer per year to wolves…

Got home and told myself to put on my big boy pants and get back out in the woods/only the strong survive....well that internal conversation actually occurred after two soft tacos, rolos, ibuprofen, a hot bath, and some coffee. LOL

Wind has switched enough for me to go after one of the two bucks I've seen that I'd arrow(ok...try to arrow).

I thought it was the shock of you seeing deer instead of striking out like you did back east?
