I bought a press a few months ago and recently got a draw board for it. My BIL is also into archery and we split the cost of them. My Solution is due for a new string set, will be tearing into that here in the next week. Very much looking forward to doing all the setup myself.
Back.at it for last 1 1/2 hours. Well hour now. Man all this rain everything's tripled in size the grain is heading out . New clovers looking great and I noticed a whole new clove planted last year I thought didn't make it. Holy crap just attack by a yellow jacket . So many bees a d flies out. If a bird was near...probably not now...got em!!!!..the bee..lol
She wandered off and I do hear another bird out in brush but with a minute to go, won't do me any good.
With all the rain we've had this year I'm very concerned about the mosquitoes as well. The property I hunt in Indiana has several swamps and usually has an adequate amount of them blood suckers. Last year, amazingly enough, there were very few. But I fully expect them to make up for it this year. I haven't been up there yet but I'm probably gonna put cameras out next week. I stashed my cheap Kayak out deep on public maybe 4 weeks ago..I haven't been able to get to it bc of flooding and high waters. I really hope it didn't wash away!
Haven’t posted on here lately usually active mainly during contest but this year’s turkey season was a tough one but got it done the day before season went out. I ended up calling in two toms and they only got to 30 yards and i forgot to adjust my single pin and shot and hit him right by the spurr. He then pushed a hen off and thought it was over. Hour and a half went by and I see a tom making his way back to me where he pushed a hen off. It was the one i shot in the leg. He only came into 40 yards this time and i had my .410 with me also so i grabbed it and shot it and dropped him right where he stood. Crazy that he came back out a hour and half later. Wish i would have gotten him with my bow but still blessed to be able to get a second chance at him and make it count! Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
