I went out this morning for a little walk behind my house to check for sheds and pull the bottom sticks from my stands......No sheds found yet

I've chartered fished Erie several times. My boat is not suited for big water like the great lakes.

I'm in a NJ tree. I think the Bucks have all shed. Haven't seen one on cell cam in a month. But I'm here for three more afternoons. Beautiful 35deg afternoon. 3" snow on the ground. If there are any deer milling around they will light up with this snow background.

    First bass of the year:
    upload_2024-2-15_17-7-12.jpeg
The trip started off with my cell phone slipping out of my pocket while I was unhooking the boat and landing in 2 feet of water. I was a bit panicked but the new iPhones are pretty water proof I guess.

Fishing was slow. I got six bites in 4 1/2 hours but that first one was a good one.

I'm out. I had 3 skippers running around in the green field and the 11 slick tops came down the same trail as the first 12 and hung out with me the rest of the evening. I also saw 5 more Doe in the big green field on the other side of the Alpaca farm. So if my math is right i saw 31 deer tonight and 23 were in shooting range. Not a single antler. Try again tomorrow.

I wish I could have a sit like that. Haven’t had one since I stopped hunting Kentucky.

You know I’d have been launching arrows.

Finally picked my buck up from 22’ . I moved some others around and gonna do a double pedestal with two of them. I’ll post up when I finish it. The bucks cape was all worn, guessing from going into and outa the brush. He was a big body SOB.

11pt still holding as of 2 days ago. Glad to see he’s still around (on the neighbors about 300yds away).

I'm tied in. Second to last sit of the season. Deer already here, about 100yds away. Two slick heads. Same place they came down from yesterday. Sunny, 40degs, light steady northwest wind which is perfect.checked all 5 cameras and only a 3pt, 4pt and half rack over the last month. So it's not promising. Looks lime the big boys shed early, are dead or just not here. But im here and love just being 20' up tied to a tree. Can't wait for September!!!

Just the two so far and they did not come off the hill. So weird how their movement is so different day to day.. just a little difference in sun, temp or wind direction changes everything for them.
