Ah I would love to, unfortunately busy with the new job this week, only day I could take half off this week was Tuesday! Good luck!
I’m loading the final items in my truck and I’ll be heading to Arkansas within the hour for some late season bow hunting.
Congratulations on your kill......I miss the days of hunting January's down in Maryland I killed one of my better MD public land bucks 14 years ago today in Montgomery county
Over the years I've had some great encounters with some big buck on the last week of the season. This year I was out of buck tags, so I was hoping a big buck didn't walk by! We're are you now? Sent from my SM-S901U using Tapatalk
Way up in the northern tier of New York state....The state closes down hunting season up here by the middle of December to open up the snowmobile trails - The last several years thou there hasn't been enough snow to snowmobile until at least January if at all. Here's a pic of the buck - My wife still had it in her phone
Haha! I will never catch you! Personal best season for me. 8 deer with the bow. I tied my best season. In 2009, I shot 8 deer, but it was a mix of rifle and bow kills. So, overall, one of my best seasons of my entire hunting career. I might be doing one more hunt for the year. This Thursday , I might be doing a primitive muzzleloader hunt. I will have a buck tag for that, so I would probably be the only deer I shoot. Sent from my SM-S901U using Tapatalk
I’m all set up. I figured why sit in the cabin when I could sit in a tree. It’s 53 degrees, I’m dressed for 40 and the sun is cooking me. Oh well. Im in a spot I’ve never hunted before but I have my lucky buckeyes in my pocket.
I’m tagged out on bucks in Arkansas so if I shoot one it’ll be a doe. Well, it had better be a doe. A button buck or a shed buck can only be tagged with a buck tag here, which is something I don’t have. Binoculars are hanging around my neck.
Button bucks count as antlerless tags in the spots where I do the majority of hunting, just a thought if you decide you want a change of scenery.
I wouldn’t mind hunting there but lodging is a problem if I do. I’m not a fan of driving an hour before and after each sit. Plus, it’s fun to match wits with these Wattensaw deer.
