@Holt is fast on the trigger, 1 minute between posting he sees deer to posting he shot one. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
She didn't go 40 yards. But ran out into the river in the cattails. She died in 2 feet of water. I'm completely soaked! But what a blast! Haha Sent from my SM-S901U using Tapatalk
I hunted there last night and there wasn't much water. The tide was really high and it rained all day. Even the woods was flooded. Pretty wild evening! Sent from my SM-S901U using Tapatalk
Thanks guys! The deer I saw tonight were probably the same ones I saw last night. I had 8 deer around me. When I posted I could see 2 deer in the thicket, I didn't realize I had deer under me. I was so focused on looking for the other, didn't see the 2 come right to me. The first deer was this big doe. I pulled back on her and could see the deer pouring out of thicket. She started walking and I was just waiting for her to stop. Well she walked completely around me and got into my wind. She backed up and started walking away. She stopped behind a tree but I could still see her shoulder. Let the arrow fly and heart punched her. She ran out into the marsh, and could hear her crashing in the water. She jumped into a bunch of frag and I got very lucky to find her. Only blood was a few sprays on the frag. This was all in about 2 feet of marsh water. Went way over my boots. Another great hunt in the books! Sent from my SM-S901U using Tapatalk
Way to go man! That sounds like a memorable hunt for sure!!! I’ll be down in MD Tuesday evening for one last sit of the season
Cutting it close! Keep at it man. Might be doing a primitive muzzleloader hunt on Thursday morning, if your interested? So far me and another guy will most likely going. Sent from my SM-S901U using Tapatalk
