yea, I enjoy popping Starlings and House Sparrows with the air gun .. both can be shot anytime here under state regs ......

there are places here that just got 35 inches of lake effect snow.. I got 14" here at the house .. finally got dug out this afternoon ... Laporte Co. got the big dump with over 30" being common. .. Michigan City shut the roads/city down till they could dig out, shut the toll road down also for big rigs ... I 94 was a loss and impassable at times ... glad deer season is over .. well, kinda glad .. ;0( ... urban zones are open till the end of the month .. now a warmup with rain coming ... gonna get very messy and foggy next week ... wanted to hit the streams for steelhead, they are frozen over now and will be over their banks if we get the rain/thaw as predicted .. crap ..

All set up! Not as confident as I was heading down here, saw a group of 6 that we may have busted out, not sure they were a few hundred yards away on the hillsides they were walking not running, then as I got close to my set up saw a group of 3 they were about 100 yards away just milling around, worked off away from the plot, hoping something circles around and comes past this tree, tons of tracks

    Good luck Adam.

I'm in the same spot. Sticking with what's working. Settled about 1515. Nothing yet.

Well a Fawn and 2 more Doe. Then a really big deer came in with about 5min of shooting light. No antlers. Biggest deer I've seen since shooting my Buck in October. Probably 150lbs. Have to believe it was a shed Buck. 12 deer today

That it for me this trip. Was a great trip, saw lots of deer and took the Doe. Might be back in February. Can hunt till February 17, but if all the Bucks are shed then not much point. Left a cell cam with fresh batteries. Ill see what it shows me.

Seen a (what looked like) a decent set of sheds in a field right at dark.
Only 100 yards off the road but wasn't dressed well enough to fetch them. Will try tomorrow.

Found the bigger set 2 weeks ago and this set today. All 4 were within 50 yards apart. I'm guessing these 2 are definitely related. Check out the bases/ burrs.

I would be pretty excited about those knowing they are going to be much bigger this fall. Nice find.

Thing is, even with age, most of the bucks seldom top 150 here.
    Beautiful birds Slugger.
