All set up and ready to go, beautiful morning here, crunchy as can be should be able to hear them a long ways off, got in as silently as I could, didn’t bump anything on the way in, think they may be out feeding and come back to bed, usually get action here 8:30-9:30 got about 15 more minutes until light
Had a great morning sit, saw a fox at first light then it got quiet until about 8-8:15 heard something running down the hillside on the opposite side of the ravine, saw some does heading my way. Got into the laurel patch I was in and thought they were going to come right in on the trail that goes by at 30 yards, they took a turn and went past me at 50ish yards instead, ended up bedding in the laurel until I got down at 10. They didn’t see me coming down the tree, wind was in my favor, but they heard me on the ground with how crunchy it was and all 5 took off. Overall a great morning in the woods! And I found the arrow that I missed a spike with a few weeks back! Still spins perfectly
A rare day in the south with single digits and windchill getting to -5. I don’t have clothes for weather this cold, but I did get in a little practice. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Well we got about 3-4 inches of snow. Enough to close school. So looks like I won't be hunting and just enjoying a snow day with the kids. They really wanted this, and I love snow also. They haven't had a decent snow in a couple years. Sent from my SM-S901U using Tapatalk
-11 again this morning, actual temp. Day after bow season. Now time to get in a little pond hockey before it thaws and maybe kill a coyote or 2. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
