One lung and exit in front of heart, was slightly quartering away. That hero shot is the exit. I just got her all skinned up, looks like a .308 hit her. That hybrid head was nasty. Not the best shot by me tho.

Get em!! I sat in some stupid winds last night I almost got down a couple times, got lucky and it paid off! Was a wee bit sketchy at times tho.

    Great job Tyler!

    Your year just keeps going!

We had a snow day today. The storm didn't come until later, so I got up early and made the best of it.

    2nd sit of the morning.
    60 yard shot - dropped
    Healthy female
    Started with vol squeak
    Cotton tail in distress
    red squirrel barking
    and then
Came in on 20240112_101433.png the coyote pup screams

I'm heading in for the evening. Little late and very windy. Going to a property I only hunted once this year, and that was back in September. Will update once I find a tree.

Up in a old familiar tree. Have yet to shoot a deer out of this spot. But over the years have shot at many deer from right here. Just always something goes wrong. Including last year during last week of January had 3 bucks come in and the biggest one ducked my arrow at 20 yards. 2 nice trails crossed in front of me right in the edge of bedding. Got in with out jumping any deer.

I seen 6 or 7 shortly after daylight this morning but no shooters. I made it until 9:00. That wind is brutal. Shortly after I got home the power went out and is still off. I decided to take the family out for dinner. Live wire hanging from broken pole at the end of our street. We’ll be lucky to have it back by morning.
