Got down a little after 0900. Was a popsicle and have been trying to warm up since. Will be in a different stand, settled in at about 1400
With deer season over I opted to head back out for some ducks. Sent from my SM-G990U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app

It's about to blow up here. Just in the last 48 hours, I got them fighting on camera and making scrapes. Heck, 2 days ago sparkles even daylighted. But of course I was in work. Sent from my SM-G990U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Well I had two skippers in front of me for 30min. Agood Doe came in to 10yds off to my left, but I couldn't get turned on her, and she left in the other direction. It then got dark and I was surrounded by deer. Eventually had to turn on my headlamp and scare them all off. My cell cam is now blowing up with deer. Grrrr. Try tomorrow in the snow.
another 4 hour sit, 1-5 pm .. new location over looking a small ridge/trails running e-w .. tried going up my first tree choice I found last spring, however, it has a weird bend after setting two sticks before it straightened back out .. I passed on it, to old, to smart now to try it.. had a back up tree in mind and much straighter 15 yds west... good move, I liked the location once I got set up, I'll be using it again next season ... at 4pm I heard a snap, looked to my back right and 3 does were moving in and were milling around down wind, not sure they knew I was there until I almost gagged trying to suppress a cough/loose phlegm (of all the damn times for one to hit too... ).. that did not go well, they turned and backed out and left... I'll be back in the AM ... snow is coming, 1-3 inches, so it should be my first/last snow sit of the season, which ends Sunday ... pic is of the small ridge, looking SE ... great location for se winds, which I'll have again tomorrow AM .. this is just a small part of the 640+ acre area (of 8000+ acres/state land) I started hunting this year...
Well, thought I was done for the season but guess not. Buddy called and still has an open tag. Asked if I'd make a drive or 5 tomorrow for him. Abso_ fricken _ lutsy!
Getting ready to head out in a few minutes. 24 degrees and snow expected to start around 10 AM. Good luck if you’re out. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
22deg, light east wind. Been up since 0630. Been exciting. Fox, turkeys. Just had encounter with Doe and BB fawn. BB stood in front of me at 20yds. Doe wouldn't leave the thicket to give me a shot. They are both out in Alpacafields eating grass 80yds away. See what happens. Good luck everyone!
Another Doe and fawn just came through doing the same thing. Mature Doe would just not step out of the thicket. Giving it till 0900.
I ended up seeing 3 bucks this morning but the biggest was a 4 point. Hopefully the snow will get the bigger ones on their feet this afternoon.
