    Feeling like an ass.
There is about 70_80 deer across the river from me.
They are bedding mostly in my back riverbottom wooded point, crossing on ice and going to feed in a sugarbeet field.
They have to cross a road that gets little traffic.
I went to glass it and see what bucks were still alive. Parked my truck, spotting scope deployed. Was enjoying watching about 40 deer coming and getting ready to cross the road.
Looked ahead and seen an oddball white shape in the snow in the ditch about 200 yards ahead. What the heck is that?
Drove up and here's a guy wearing a white suit sitting waiting.
There was 10 minutes of legal time on the last day of season and I screwd it up for this guy. The look on his face when I drove by was pure dejection.
I feel horrible that this guy thought outside the box, knew what the deer were doing, adapted and I screwd it up.
His plan was top notch and there is no doubt he would have had a great encounter if I hadn't screwd it up for him.
    Super sorry fella.

Dang my hands stopped working an hour ago. Just got back to car to warmup arthritis is kicking butt this morning. It will be a bad drive home. This is what I found just 20 ft from car on way out...most chest high. It's a yearly rub site from the looks.

Good luck this morning. I finished up the euro for my buddy’s wife and gave it to her yesterday. She was thrilled. I am going to let her treat with hydrogen peroxide and borax if she wants it whiter. I go back to work tomorrow, don’t have time for it. Image1704124023.332700.jpg IMG_20231231_220339_01.jpg

Happy New Year everyone! 2023 was a good season for me. All in NJ. 3 Archery Bucks, 2 Doe and a BB. Freezers are full. Blessed beyond measure.

My family also had a great season with Bow and Gun. They put a bunch of deer down and some real good ones for the wall.

Looking foward to 2024!!! See you in a tree on Thursday afternoon.
