Merry CHRISTmas everyone! I've read every post in LFTS and enjoyed my time with you all this season. I wanted to sneak out hunting quick this morning, but the weather is warm here and the processors are all closed today. My goal is to shoot 2 or 3 more does by Saturday. I'm a HS math teacher and have the next 2 weeks off. Our season ends Jan 1. I want to get out on lake erie and catch some more walleye too - wind is the determining factor.
In the stand as I type. Rain should start midday and set in this evening...unfortunately only seeing skwirls.
First day of last week,up getting ready to go out. In kitchen I turn from putting cream in frig., next thing I know I'm on the floor. My right knee just gave out on me..WTH! thank heaven hubby was still home and helped me up. Apparently corraling the chickens out of garden yesterday & putting new green house film up on the green house tweaked my rt knee. I had a 3 hr window to hunt before a 3 day rain hits. Looks like I'm pampering knee for next 3 days instead. Good luck Guys
First daylight deer on the camera in a couple days, hopefully that is a good sign, heading down around noon with dad
Live from the kitchen. Ground up about 1.5-2 lbs of wood duck and mallard breast. Made a big Ole pot of Chilli. I believe this is my first time make a Chilli with ground duck breast. High hopes. If it turns good I will post up the homemade recipe I did Sent from my SM-G990U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Thanks I already am. I've had knee surgery and both knees have had some rough injuries. Doc scraped a bunch of arthritis on left kneee so I know rights just as bad. They tend to yellat me on occation. I've avoided the replacements surgeon told me I'd be needing. Plan on continuing to do so. Made use of time by grabbing bow and some arrows and shot sitting down. It's been years since I've been able to do that without struggling. So glad I lowered #'s. Still gettting great penetration even on the cross bow target with field points. Have knee wrapped in a heating pad and relaxing ,rains arrived.
All set up in MD where the big boy was last week. Camera has been dead the past 3 days during daylight, first sign of deer life on the camera was first thing this morning and then another small one at around noon, overcast here but warm, dad is set up about 150 yards away
Feels good to be back on stand. I had to go to work this morning even though it’s a scheduled holiday. Oh well, maybe I’ll get rewarded this evening. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
