She went about 30 yards. The blood is probably from where she stopped and coughed. She was maybe 5 yd from th e blood.
Heard coyotes sound off an hour ago. Grabbed the shotgun and call. Went down to the river and called for 20 minutes. Nothing. Walked by a ladderstand that I've been wanting to move 15 yards for years. Fixing to do that now.
Change of plans. Was going to hunt morning, but with a sick kid last night, stayed home. I'm up now. Wanted to sneak into a buck bed I found last winter. Well a group of about 10 does were in it and busted when I was 75 yards out. They didn't see me or smell, just heard something. So I setup right where there were bedded. The buck bed is only 50 yards past this point. Let's see if they come back. Sent from my SM-S901U using Tapatalk
Just had a deer cross the cattails about 50 yards out. Couldn't see what it was. Still hear it walking around on other side. Sent from my SM-S901U using Tapatalk
Hunting this strip of frag. It's about 12 foot tall and almost impossible to see thru. The buck bed is to the right in the middle of those young pines. Sent from my SM-S901U using Tapatalk
I was feeling a little froggy this afternoon so I loaded up and headed to one of my spots in Mark Twain National Forest. I’ve been set up for about 15 minutes. I have no idea what to expect as far as movement goes. I’m in a tree that I put @Ridgerunner3 in when he was here. It’s a good spot overlooking a pond. Water isn’t a problem for the deer right now but it’s a heck of a travel corridor.
Been a flurry of deer activity. Saw a buck, just couldn't tell how big he was. Most of the action is about 40 yards away. Had 1 small doe/fawn go by me twice now. Right under my tree. Just looking for something bigger. Sent from my SM-S901U using Tapatalk
Sit in a tree stand all morning, see 8 deer none close enough to shoot...go for a walk with my grand daughter and her parents and see about 15 all close enough for a shot with a bow.
