The buck i was drawn back on the other day is taunting me . I wont be able to hunt until Saturday most likely. He better watch out
So on the stuck crossbow. I got it un done. Twice actually because I tried it again and same issue. The string was hung up on the anti dry fire pin. . I took a piece of heavy tape and placed it above pin. I then pulled back string to release pressure and twisted rope handles over stock butt to hold it. I then taped down pin in the open position and released safety button. Very slowly and with much effort I unwound the rope and very slowly took limbs down. My hands & wrists are sore. That's a lot of weight for an old ladies hands, even with the pullies Headed out to shop I fear I need a new trigger assembly. Telling you so if it happens to anyone else....on line shows it has with different bows. You can undo them without a press. You just need to be slow and patient.
Insult to injury! Old Gnarly came by to say eff you as well! I want this old guy more than any of them.
Dude, I've got pretty much the same buck making the rounds at my place. I've had him on multiple cameras since early summer. I really thought I would get a chance at him but with everything that's been going on at my house this year, it doesn't look I will. The resemblance is uncanny though. I hope you catch up with him before the seasons out. Sent from my SM-N975U1 using Tapatalk

String may not be pulled all the way back. Did that once in the dark. My daughter pulled the trigger and just a click. Pulled it back another inch to where it was supposed to be and it worked fine.
No it is actually a recall issue that happened years ago. I was recoverning from surgery and never sent it in. He thinks a bad internal spring . The shop said they'll probably still do recall replacement and charge shipping to and back. I also took my bow down and talked him into lowering poundage. What a difference just a few #'s make! Because I shoot instinctive he was able to knock an arrow and have me shoot. I haven't shot in a few weeks now and my shoulder and hands were already on fire from releasing the crossbow by hand twice. Even he looked shocked when I pulled up and back shooting a bulls eye. He said looks like that will do you considering no sights. I let him know I've been shooting well over 30yrs in hunting with no sights. No reaching for the sky. A little effort needed but crazy difference. So I'm still good to go Christmas thru New Years.
It stinks that my season is over so this is about as close to live from the stand as I get......I put together another new bow today that I have had sitting around in the box for a couple of years - Now to see if it stays or if it goes
Headed out. Not a great stand, but best with this wind. I was out last night for late doe season. I saw 5 bucks....2 decent ones. I wouldn't shoot them this year, but sure good to see them this late. I pulled up in a doe...click...a misfire I believe. Sucks. Ejected bullet into snow, I may go back to find it and inspect. Good luck ya'll.
Good luck you animals. Ill be back out this weekend. Probably day late and dollar short as usual but ill take my chances.
Cleaned out my truck of all my hunting stuff and bow. Been there for three months. Haha. Season ain't over yet but it's winding down.
Yeah, I just cleared all my junk out yesterday as well. Our season is in till first week of January but we're leaving for Florida the day after Christmas for three months. Gonna be a long time till October. Sent from my SM-N975U1 using Tapatalk
