I’m back home from hunting Iowa, what a state! I saw so many deer. The weather was far from ideal, but still had a blast and almost killed a couple big ones. I’m getting my archery gear back together and will be back out after Christmas till the end of January. Still have a buck tag and a couple doe tags to fill.
Well team I'm still trying Last hunt of first late bow. I haven't seen a deer since the buck I shot in regular gun. .Not one on cams. These are the old eyes of someone thats managed just 3hrs of sleep a night the last 2 weeks. So tired but still in the game.
Had a little bit of action. Had two does come in the last ten minutes but when I drew I couldn't get them in my sight picture.
That's a good looking buck Adam. I'm assuming that's in MD?? I think I would be calling in sick tomorrow.
No I won't even take a tylanol for a head ache Now I just need to get back on my vitamin regimen again. D and magnesium plus some others. I have had a sleep disorder from a small child. It's why I was able to bartend get home at 3a.m. then go to classes or other jobs all day . Holidays tend to elevate the situation. There's been holidays where I literally have not slept for 3 days straight. I normally never get to bed until midnight anyways then up at 5. I thought as I aged this would change, ya know, I'd just run out of steam, nope...
So ZERO deer...just some chickadees THANK GOD! because I would have probably destroyed my bow and the blind had I heard click then NOTHING on a deer at this point. Help please. My cross bow is misfiring AND I CAN NOT release the limbs. I have done a reset but still just getting a click and no string release. That said pulling back the loaded string does reset the safety switch and it clicks. It's sitting, UNLOADED, Fully drawn. Any ideas other than the bow shop in the morning.
Yes sir! MD! I hardly ever have bucks show up two days in a row on this property, I do get off work early on Thursday so I am going to try to sneak down there for a quick evening hunt. I have off the week between Christmas and new years so hopefully getting down a few times then as well!
