Congrats. Love it when kids harvest an animal. Sparks hunting in them forever and teaches a skill set that I'm afraid may be a necessity in the future.
I’m all settled in a little bit late but I’m not really expecting much cams have died off no movement on them at all but we’ll see good luck everyone Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I have been up for over an hour. It’s cold and windy. The only reason I’m even hunting this morning is to try to get points for my team now that I have a buck tag. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Which means I am in full compromising my standards mode. If I see a buck with a 3 inch spike, he dies. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
really after the statement you made to me. Your lowering?? Hmmm?!!! now kill something and get me off your back. LOL
Whew busy few days at work. I need a break! Teenage daughter drama at the house and other life events are not being very considerate of my post rut hunting season. Off today and go back to work Tuesday hopefully i can make it out for few hunts this weekend. Have to keep on chugging! Stay at it!
It just dawned on me. 2 years ago to the day i dropped this big dawg. He was trailing a hot (mature) doe. Anything can happen!
Motivation! I'm heading in to the peninsula on Monday or Tuesday next week. Have to see if this guy is still alive and get a shot when the temps really drop. I've had a cam out there for 7 weeks.
Gonna make some drives tomorrow. 1 guy has a tag for Mn and ND. I'm gonna be the bird dog. I kinda hope it's not a fast kill day. I need the exercise. I wanna end a full day with a few miles of walking and full of cockelburrs and of course, bloody hands. I LOVE making drives for people. So fun and effective late season. Group effort for all involved and can be so much funner then sitting in a stand.
another 5 hr PM sit and Zilch.. gonna try the same location in the AM before the rain moves in .. something is working scrapes there, there are 6 freshly worked scrapes within 55 yds of the tree I go up ... wind will still be good ... I usually dont do AM sits this time of year, but time is running out .. 1st 1.5 yr old doe or older that gives a good angle gets killed .... havnt been in that tree since Nov. 3rd ... did hear 2 different ML blasts across the road east of me ...
Heading in found a couple fresh scrapes when I got down yesterday on the way out so going to move a stand over there this morning and see if anything shows up good luck to anybody out this morning Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
