Been living at work. Dang it! Need some outdoors time. Sat afternoon into Sunday looks good temp wise. I'm going to be aggressive and basically live inside Missouris hell bedding areas full of burs and every other annoying tree/plant reproductive and defense systems that are full of things that will stick into your clothes. Good luck all!

Sorry for the lack of responses the past few days. Monday I walked out of my 4th hour class to vomit!...25 years teaching and never did that before. But I'm back and feeling better.

Adam - nice blood pics, but I am sorry you did not recover the deer.

LC - nice freakin track job by Ellie....so cool. Congratulations.

OND - way to perservere and get a buck with the banger

Shocker - that dude has got me fired up!!! Please kill him.

I haven't been out for a week due to watching football, bad weather, and being sick. Might get out for a quick sit today.

Not only clothes but skin haha. My arms hands and thighs have just now kind of cleared up. They get all torn up and scratched and always a few festering thorns stuck somewhere. Gotta love it

Forgot to post our spoils. Last Friday was slow only 1 walleye. Talked to a guy who rents fish houses out Saturday morning while having a Bloody Mary. No 4 wheelers allowed was the MO… except he works there and told us he would pull us to the good spot. Got to our spot about 3/4 mile down from the access. Set up around 1pm (have to be off the lake by dark). Caught 9 before dark and had to throw 6 back that were over our size limit.

Back to bowhunting before focusing on ice fishing after the new year.

I'm in the woods but with the smoke pole through Sunday. Then Tuesday through Friday with the bow. Still looking for a VT Buck.

Well I shoveled drive for first time this season. Heavy , wet and I can still do it pretty quick!
We get your weather starting tomorrow. Will have to get deer done fast in the morning. At least got 2 nights and a day of hang.

I encourage you to give that a go with shanks or neck meat...either will cook really well and just melt away any connective tissue or silver skin.

Yes! Neck meat in the crock pot has become a favorite of mine. I make a ton of badass sandwiches or breakfasts with eggs and toast :tu:
