Running out of time for today I can either sit here my last 45 minutes or walk and check the fields. I've got lucky before doing that guess I'm going to start walking. Good luck all who are out.

I got my butt kicked by bucks yesterday but saw about a dozen does in different group sizes from loners to a pack of 6. Actually one nice doe had her knot head twins w her. I wasnt feeling it for meat so i passed the shots i did have. Plenty of opportunities left for that. I had to get my son off the bus and didnt want to push it. It was windy and rainy so i was out to go big or go home. Well i went home haha. Yesterday evening i didnt see a deer from stand except a few far off ones when i was messing with the new thermal monocular. Wow those things are cool. Can definitely see it being a distraction though. Need to figure out its time and place in the bag of tricks. My walk out of the woods last night took a long time. I stopped every 50 yds or so and just scanned everything. I saw possums, coons, deer in the fields. Every bird roosted in the trees from little bitty ones to owls. Rabbits , squirrels, mice running everywhere. Pair of coyotes running after something. And last but not least the neighbor that looked like he was peeing on the side of his barn .

It was a doe, 5 of them came in, shot was high, she was quartered to at 14 yards held right at the front leg, she ducked and it went in much higher than I wanted but I think/hope the angle caught both lungs, arrow buried to the fletch. she went off 50 yards then stopped, I went to load another arrow to try to get a second shot, but when I looked back she was gone

Nothing for me on the walk out the fields were empty. I did find the biggest ground scrape on this property in the past 25 years I’ve hunted it. Might get a camera over it and see if it’s community scrape or not. FC8D236B-D3B7-450F-8432-FDBA4F3F888A.jpeg

Been trailing great blood for 200ish yards, she went straight down hill then straight up the other side of the ravine, luckily she’s heading towards the truck
