I just had a busted up 8 point come in. I passed him 2 weeks ago before he got busted up. I hope he makes it through the season.

Slept in this morning. Back is really getting to me. Need to get some things organized with my gear. Got a bunch of new first lite and code of silence clothing. Anxious to try that stuff out. Sick of wearing rags. 2nd gun season here so i gotta decide whether to head to bow only zone hr from the house or throw the orange on and grab the 220

It's my understanding that the designer of the code of silence clothing was the designer for Cabelas clothing before they were ruined by bass pro. It looks like really great stuff. I've got a First Lite sanctuary set and it is the warmest set of clothing I've ever owned.

I’m still lurking in the shadows with my bow in hand, I been taking care of things around the house and with work b4 I leave for IA. I’m gonna hunt till the end, I like late season for killing bucks. Just need the weather to get on them at the food. I prob won’t hit it hard till end of December-January

Where abouts are you in Mn. I have a friend who owns a resort on a lake in Nevis. I get up there quite a bit.

    Not so fast Pilgrim.

My buddy walked the first mile stretch.
A horrible pig weed infested stretch. Had 6 does coming and picked out the biggest. 4 yard shot, 15 yard recovery.
Tagged out for the year. So fun, 20231201_120154.jpg

Of course they aren’t chewed by squirrels way up there. As soon as they drop they get buried in ice and even when they are finally uncovered they stay frozen until mid summer.

I’m in the middle of a serious, stressful job at work. Supposed to be completed on the 8th. If all goes smoothly, I plan on taking several days off to do nothing but hunt, sleep, hunt and sleep.
I’ve had pretty good luck late season, I’m not done yet!

Up and tied in. Some tracks in here and the ground under the apple trees is pawed up. I can see for at least 150yds and can hear really well since I'm not near the stream. 20231201_145610.jpg Good luck anyone who's out.
